We have been so busy this week! I definitely overbooked us - Will is doing swim lessons every day from 11 to noon, Vacation Bible School is nightly from 6 to 8:30 and I volunteered to help, Will's summer session of preschool started Thursday and he took cupcakes to celebrate his half birthday, we are preparing for Will's party on Saturday, and to top it all off Nationwide (their insurance company) is arguing with us about paying the storage fees from the accident we were in because we did not file it as a claim against OUR insurance company. I'll spare you a long, raving blog post about that issue but how could any rational person argue that we should be liable for ANYTHING after getting hit by a drunk driver!!!
My saving grace this week has been Mom. Thankfully she came up to help me get everything done.

Swimming lessons this week have gone from a nightmare to a dream. The first two days were
bad and Wednesday was excruciating (Will chose to scream for 30 minutes), but Thursday was a turning point.
We stayed after lessons, had a picnic lunch with Natalee and Brady and then swam for a couple hours.
During that time Will learned to go under and at one point tried his version of swimming under water
(stand in water almost chest deep, bend over and stick your head under, paddle your arms and walk forward)!
I was so proud of him and I even had my camera with me but I didn't remember to take any pictures since I
was in the pool watching him.
Friday I remembered my camera again but frustratingly I missed my opportunity for a photo since I spent all my time during his swim lesson on the phone arguing with the insurance adjuster over the storage fees and documenting my conversation. And this conversation happened AFTER I told him yesterday that I didn't want to speak with him again and I wanted to talk to his supervisor! GGGGRRRRR!! But I digress...

I really can't even tell you how thankful I am to have Mom here this week!
Thanks to her help Will had some really cute half-strawberry-half-chocolate
cupcakes to take to preschool for his half birthday! |
